You can do anything if you set your mind to it. Look out for kids, help them dream and be inspired. We teach calculus in schools, but I believe the most important formula is courage plus dreams equals success.
Dear Henry Wise Wood Students, Parent/Guardians, and Community,
We trust that students and families enjoyed a lovely long weekend!
Staff enjoyed an excellent day of professional learning on Monday, as we continue our School Development work and system-wide focus on Indigenous Education Holistic Lifelong Learning, Literacy, Mathematics and Well-being.
The School Council virtual meeting is this upcoming Monday April 25 at 6:30pm. Our Math Learning Leader and a student will be attending to share about Math at Wise Wood. We will also provide an update on our Warrior Voice Cafes. Please plan to join us! We will share out the link on Monday.
For our Grade 12 Parents/Guardians, please keep in the loop with your student as 'all things grad' roll out. We are looking forward to celebrating on May 27. The first round of banquet ticket sales is now complete. There are still a few tickets available. Students are asked to see Ms. McKay in room 304 (AM) or 218B (PM) by Friday if you would like to order tickets (first come, first served).
The Henry Wise Wood Theatre Department presents Legally Blonde the Musical on May 10 – 13. The story follows Elle Woods as she attempts to get her boyfriend back by enrolling at Harvard Law School. It is a touching tale of surpassing all expectations and breaking down stereotypes. Tickets are $15 and you can pay in Cash or Cheque made out to the school. To reserve tickets in advance please fill out the following form: https://forms.gle/TciqUywr66tZp8v78. Please note that this show has a PG-13 rating and it is not recommended for young children. If you have any questions or concerns, Director Mr. McDonald invites you to reach him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Stay cozy, and we will look forward to Spring re-emerging (hopefully) soon!
