The Henry Wise Wood Off-Campus Education Program customizes and differentiates learning by offering students a diverse and varied choice of work opportunities. The program helps guide students to make informed decisions about their post-secondary education and/or career by providing practical, work-based (job site) training – as well as acquiring valuable, life-long skills, and earning high school credits.
Within the Off-Campus Education Program, there are a variety of exciting courses to choose from including the following.
Placements can occur on-campus working as Teacher Assistants or Off-Campus working in a multitude of occupational areas.
Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP)
Interested in earning credits, money, and experience through an apprenticeship program in Alberta? RAP allows students to learn a trade while working toward their high school diploma.
An opportunity to observe (“shadow”) someone performing their job.
The CBE partners with a variety of businesses and non-profit organizations to offer unique opportunities that combine learning with career experiences.
- Exploratory (introduction to various career pathways)
- Dual Credit (earn high school and post-secondary credits or industry credentials at the same time)
- Internships (provides in-depth career experiences while earning high school credits)
