Our Physical Education classes offer a variety of fun and challenging activities; designed to assist in the development of an active lifestyle that extends lifetime. They introduce students to a variety of recreational/leisure activities to inspire life long fitness as well as develop a knowledge and love of fitness and its importance to a healthy lifestyle. In addition, students will develop an understanding of leadership, responsibility and commitment within themselves and to the community around them.
Yoga
3 - 5 Credits
Available in 10, 20, 30
Students will perform the postures (asanas), breathing techniques and relaxation techniques of yoga practice develop personal management skills and the knowledge to benefit personally from a regular individualized yoga program. They will acquire and apply a basic understanding of anatomy and physiology relevant to yoga, and understand the historical roots of yoga as an art, science and philosophy
