Extra-Curricular Activities and Athletics

The Calgary Board of Education, in collaboration Alberta Education, Alberta Health Services, the Calgary Senior High School Athletic Association and the Calgary High School Sport League, continue to explore the possibilities of athletic activities within the context of the current health measures.  For now, the decision has been made to postpone the start of the fall athletic season until October 1st.  This decision provides schools with time to establish all AHS health protocols as outlined under Scenario 1.  This decision will be reviewed by the third week of September, after which we will look to communicate further information.

Some of our clubs will continue to be offered. An update regarding fitness centre use will be shared the week of September 8. At this time, the fitness centre is closed to student and staff use.

More information will be provided to families in the weeks to come regarding extra-curricular, clubs, athletics and their start dates.
