Principal Announcement

Good afternoon to our Jack James community,

It is with mixed emotions that I share that I am leaving Jack James High School and will be transitioning into a role of System Principal of Inclusive Learning to support students in all schools in the CBE to promote student learning and well being according to each individual student's strengths and abilities, and promotes a sense of belonging for all learners in our CBE schools.

My time at Jack James has been a wonderful and rewarding experience and I am proud to have had the opportunity to work alongside our students and families. Over the next few weeks I will be working with our Area 3 Education Director Prem Randhawa to ensure a smooth transition and continuity in addressing our school needs and student success at Jack James High School.

The Calgary Board of Education welcomes input from parents and guardians regarding the programming and leadership attributes valued in a school principal. A survey will be shared shortly for your input.

Information collected will be used in the Principal selection process. The survey data will also be shared with the new Principal to inform their entry plan into the school.

I will miss our students and school community very much, and I wish everyone all the best.

Sincerely,
Jen Gorkoff
