Horticulture and Landscape Construction 10

Horticulture is the science and art of designing, arranging, growing and maintaining fruits, vegetables, flowers and ornamental plants. Horticulture encompasses many different career paths with entry-level opportunities in each horticultural field.

Horticulture and Landscape Construction 20 & 30

The Horticulture and Landscape Construction 20 and 30 program covers a wide array of techniques and materials.  It reinforces design preparation, compositional principles in landscape construction and landscape maintenance.  Students will have a greater understanding of trees and shrubs in Alberta and how to care for them. Students will be required to engage in more self-directed, independent studies with an emphasis on proper arbour care and extensive research to further prepare them for tree nurseries, landscape design companies, or further education.
