Personal Belongings

Small toys/electronic games, iPods, MP3 players, scooters and roller blades should be left at home as they are easily lost or stolen. For the safety of all, skateboards, roller-blades, scooters and hard balls and bats are not to be brought to the school. Wheelie shoes are not allowed in school for safety concerns. The school is not responsible for the loss or damage to personal items.

Lost and Found

All clothing items are stored in boxes at the end of our main entrance. We ask that students and parents check for items frequently, as there are many unclaimed items. All items that are not claimed by the end of June are donated to a local charity. Smaller items of value, such as glasses and watches, are safely stored in the main office.

Please encourage your children to look for and claim any of their misplaced belongings. Also, we would encourage you to label your child‟s clothing, lunch kits, backpacks, etc. as found items can be easily returned if they have a name attached to them. Parent Council still has a fundraiser in effect with Mabel's Labels. Thank you for your assistance with this.

Cell Phones

Students are required to use Jennie Elliott School landlines during regular school hours. Cell phones should be stored in a safe place and turned off during that time. Parents should contact their children through the school office in the event of an emergency.

Children may ride their bikes to school. However, for the safety of all, they are to walk their bikes across the streets and on the school grounds. Locks must be provided for each bike. The bike racks are out-of-bounds during school hours. The school is not responsible for bicycle theft or damage.
