There are many ways you can contribute to our school’s success, and make a difference for our school and our students. In our school, this can include providing in-kind donations, contributing cash and lending expertise and technical knowledge. Connect with our principal on what may be appropriate. For more information on ways to give to CBE, visit Donate on the CBE website.

Fundraisers & Donations

FUNDRAISING

For those new to the school and for those eager to learn more about how to support our students and teachers, we are excited to share with you how you can get involved. Each year your School Council fundraisers support activities like: Carnaval, school ground maintenance, Christmas Hampers, guest speakers, staff appreciation for our fantastic teachers and support staff, along with many more items that make our school great.

With the Pandemic restrictions some of the traditional fundraisers (like the Halloween dance) have not been possible.

For those who are looking to get involved and donate we sure do appreciate the support. We also recognize it may not be possible for everyone to donate and want you to know your school community is here to support you.

How can you help?

1) Write a cheque! Yes, it can be that simple. We’ve had a number of families inquire about how to donate. There are two simple ways:

a) Education Matters: You can direct your donation to King George School. It is a great option for employer-matching donations (select Education Matters through the Benevity platform and just direct the donation to King George / Ecole King George). Tax receipts can be issued for donations of $20 or more. Please note Education matters does charge a 3.5% administration fee for all donations.

b) School Council: this funding is less restricted and can be carried over year to year. All you need to do is address your cheque to Ecole King George School Council and send it in an envelope marked School Council Donation, we’ll take care of the rest (no tax receipts will be issued for this donation).

2) Participate in one of our upcoming fundraisers:

a) School Clothing Sale: Ready to rock some King George branded leisure wear? This year's sale is November 17-30, 2021.

c) Healthy Hunger: Take a break from making lunches! This fundraiser earns the school around $5000 each year.

d) Mabels Labels: Need help keeping track of your kids’ stuff, these labels make lost and found a breeze. Just select “Support a Fundraiser” in the menu before placing your order.

We know this past year has had ups and downs for everyone, however, there is one thing we are all grateful for and that is the safe and supportive learning community King George staff and students create for our kids. We look forward to sharing more updates on this campaign and how we’re using these funds to make our school even better!
