About Us

Lake Bonavista School is situated in the southeast corner of the Bonavista community. Our school motto “Growing the Future” was inspired by our garden project and is a powerful metaphor capturing the future oriented optimism of our school.

Lake Bonavista School offers a CBE Montessori alternative program for students in kindergarten to Grade 6. For the 2017/18 school year, our school population will be approximately 360 students.

We have a very strong and supportive parent community. This is evident in the many activities our School Council supports. Examples of these enriching activities have been visits from authors, performance groups, technology enhancements, school-wide family social events, and our garden project.

At Lake Bonavista School we emphasize a balanced, personalized approach to learning. We believe that this approach builds upon each student’s unique strengths as they master the required Programs of Study outcomes and CBE Results. Educational standards are high at Lake Bonavista School.
