Today is another early dismissal day. Children will be dismissed at 1:20 p.m. today. Please make sure there is somebody available to meet your child at the usual place. Our office will close at 2:00 p.m. and teachers will be in a meeting soon after dismissal.

Fire Drill Practice #1 – We completed our first fire drill practice today. All went well and we will complete 5 more before the end of the school year.

Kindergarten new class – We informed Community English kindergarten students’ parents today that we will be splitting the class to add one more class because of large class size. We were able to make this happen using teacher resources within our school and not funds added to our budget. Mrs. P. Freestone will now be teaching kindergarten in Room 105.

School Council / Parent Association Meeting – September 15, 2021 At 7pm, on the third Wednesday of every month, the School Council /Parent Association Meetings take place. For the foreseeable future these will remain virtual. If you have a student at Marion Carson you are welcome to attend. There is no official membership application. Please participate as you wish, ask questions as needed or just sit back and listen to the school updates and great things that are planned for this year.

Attached are the meeting agenda’s for the Marion Carson School Council and Parent Association General Meeting (2 agendas, 1 meeting).

This meeting will utilize the Microsoft Teams platform. Login details are also attached to this email.
