Thank you very much to all parents / guardians who attended the Parent-Student-teacher Conferences yesterday and today. Having a large network of support for each and every student as they progress in their learning is one of the most important ways to help students both in their academics and in overall wellness. Please continue to communicate with your child's teacher regularly with any questions or clarification with respect to your child's learning.
1. AHS Notice of Respiratory Illness Outbreak at Marion Carson School
Update: Our illness rates ended the week around 10%. Thank you for you for working together as a school community to support the safety of all people. Please remember to continue to keep you children home if sick, and follow all guidelines recommended by Alberta Health Services as noted in the notice of respiratory illness outbreak letter sent Nov. 15, 2022.
2. Winter Celebration
We are currently planning our December 8th Whole School Winter Celebration. We will be having two events planned for that evening depending on your child's homeroom class. Students and families will be asked to come to either the 5:30pm or the 7:15pm performance. More information will be shared by your classroom teacher and Ms. Seto our Music Teacher in the near future through Google Classroom.
*Currently this concert is planned as an in-person event. We are currently monitoring our rate of student absence due to illness, and will consider moving this event to an online event if need be. We will communicate this decision if need be, otherwise families can prepare for an in-person event.
