It was great to have families in the building supporting our students both during our dress rehearsals and evening performances for our Winter Concert on December 8th. Thank you to all students, teachers, and families for making this event possible. You all came together to create and join in the celebrations of a wonderful event that brought our school even closer together as a whole community.
- Week of Giving (Spirit Days and Food Drive) – Dec. 12 - 16, 2022
This year, we are going to be collecting items for the Food Bank in combination with the week of giving and connected spirit days. Please ensure that the food donations are non-perishable. Here is a link to the Food Banks wish list: https://www.calgaryfoodbank.com/wishlist/
If we reach our goal of filling a minimum of 6 Food Bank boxes, Limo To Go Inc. has offered to donate 1 limousine ride with Christmas light “twinkle” tour. If we reach our goal, all Marion Carson students will have their names entered into the draw. If we reach the goal and your child is the lucky winner, then the limousine ride will occur on Sunday, December 18, and be about three hours long, taking the family(s) around town to see the Christmas lights of Calgary.
Each day, we have given suggested items to be brought in, but students can bring any item on any day as all items are appreciated.

Monday, Dec. 12: Crazy Hair Day – Food (non-perishable)
Tuesday, Dec. 13: Hat Day – Pet Food / Pet items
Wednesday, Dec. 14: Twin or Backwards Day – Baby items/Party items
Thursday, Dec. 15: Crazy Sweater/Jersey Day – Bathroom / Hygiene products
Friday, Dec. 16: Pajama and Stuffy Day (Movie Day) – Food (non-perishable)

- Fun Lunch Reminder - Dec. 16 (orders due by Dec. 11)
The deadline for ordering next week’s Fun Lunch with Papa John's is approaching. All orders must be in and paid by 11:59 pm December 11, no exceptions! Please place your order at www.healthyhunger.ca.
Please note the Fun Lunch on Friday, December 16 is being offered to Grade 1-6 classes and ONLY to the Community Kindergarten class (Ms. Freestone) as this is the only kindergarten class that will be in attendance over the nutrition break on that day.
