As the week went by we saw the likelihood of colder weather approaching. A reminder that students go outside up until -20 degrees with the wind chill for recess, movement breaks and classroom learning and therefore should come to school with clothing to support a positive outdoor experience. We appreciate parents labelling all items (such as their mitts, toques, jackets, snow pants, boots and more) so that if they get misplaced at school, we can connect them with their rightful owner.

1. Report Card Viewing
Earlier this week, a message was sent out regarding report cards. Reminder that report cards are found online in your MyCBE account and go live for viewing, starting January 30, 2023. They can be found under the Report Card / Student Info tab. If you have any questions about your child's report card, please contact your child's teacher. Please also take the time to review the Fees, Waivers & Service Registration tab while accessing your child's account to review and pay any posted fees.
2. February 3, 2023 Non-Instructional Day – No School for Students
Friday, February 3rd is a non-instructional day which means no school for students. Teachers will be continuing their professional development with respect to the new curriculum in connection to our Marion Carson School Development Plan goals.
3. School Council / Parent Association Meeting

4. Varsity Community Association - Loose Parts Play Program
The Varsity Community Association has a new volunteer-run, loose parts play program for community children on the Fridays listed below from 2-3:30pm. Visit https://www.varsitycommunityassociation.ca/ to register for free.
