1. Learning Celebration – April 27, 2023 (led by Kindergarten students from both the Community English and Mandarin Bilingual Programs)
Community English and Mandarin Bilingual program students in our Kindergarten classes are leading our upcoming learning celebration on Thursday, April 27, 2023 starting at 10:00am. This celebration focuses on student learning as well as the Buffalo and the virtue of respect.
We would like to invite parents of performing students from our Kindergarten classes. Please note that due to fire safety code we have to limit our parent viewing to the first 100 parents. Doors will open at 9:55am. If waiting outside, we ask that you please line up along the Main West Door sidewalk leading out towards Varsity Drive.
2. Marion Carson Run Club:
What? During soft entry on Friday mornings all students are invited to come and join the running club with Mrs. Summer and Mr. Turner. We will be working through a running course each morning on our school field that will help us all get our days off to a great active start.
Who? All interested K-6 students (Parents are welcome to come and join in with their children)
When? Friday mornings starting April 28, 2023 during soft entry (from 8:55am to 9:10am) up until and including June 2, 2023.
Where? Meet at school by the soccer fields as you arrive to school.
How? Students should come directly to the soccer fields when arriving at school, drop their back pack in the designated spots along the wall, and join in on the day's running challenge. Kindergarten parents please come with your children to the back fields to ensure a safe drop off and connection with the teachers.
Why? Build community through being active together.
3. Spring Fling Dance:
Be sure to get your tickets, sign-up for one of the volunteer spots, and have your child submit a poster for the contest (poster deadline has been extended to Monday April 24, 2023).
Pizza and light snacks will be available for sale as a fundraiser at this event.
