Cheque Writing Campaign (school-run initiative) We are accepting donation in the following ways:
Online through Education Matters: At the top of the www.educationmatters.ca website go to Schools, then Donate to Your School. You will then be prompted to select Marion Carson School and fill out the information. Choose “Marion Carson School
By Text: supporters can text EdMatters MARION to 30333 to donate $5 or $10 to Marion Carson School. The donation will be added to the donor’s monthly cellphone bill.
By Cheque: Please drop off the cheque at the school office with the following details...             
i.     Write cheque to EducationMatters
ii.     Cheque must include name, address, and email


*Although our specific cheque writing / donation campaign ran in 2022 from November to December, we accept donations at any time throughout the year through the above methods. Thank you in advance for your support.


Past Fundraising Success

- Casino Fundraiser: Our School Council / Parent Association-led casino was held November 9th and 10th! This is the largest fundraiser for our school typically raising between $50-$70,000. Thank you to all volunteers and coordinators who made this event possible.

Ways to give to our school include:

Monetary (cash) donation

  • I wish to receive a tax receipt for my donation. Tax receipts will be issued for donations of $20 or more.
    • Visit the EducationMatters online donation webpage to make a donation. (Preferred donation method)
    • Write a cheque payable to EducationMatters  (all one word) and include the name of our school and the specific program, activity or item you want your donation to support in the 'memo' section. Give the cheque to the school or mail it to: EducationMatters, 1221 8 Street SW Calgary, AB T2R 0L4
  • I do not wish to receive a tax receipt for my donation
    • ​Write a cheque made payable to Calgary Board of Education  and include the name of our school and the specific program, activity or item you want your donation to support in the 'memo' section. Give the cheque to the school.
