​We know it is important for parents/guardians to understand how their children are doing in school. Research shows that students are more successful with active parent/guardian involvement.

The report card is one component in communicating student learning. In addition to the report card, schools communicate with parents/guardians about student progress on an ongoing basis in a variety of ways. 

Assessment happens every day, in every classroom, throughout the school year. Assessing a student’s progress is one of the most important ways we support the continued learning of our students.

We have developed some resources related to assessment and report cards, and to help you learn more about your child's learning. As more resources are developed, you will find them here.​ 

Digital report cards are available through MyCBE​. For help with accessing student assessment and reporting information, please refer to the information in the MyCBE Technical Support for Students & Parents Support website.

Assessment & Reporting

MidSun School

As part of our commitment to providing ongoing communication with parents, MidSun teachers will use BrightSpace by D2L to post course content, homework and upcoming due dates. We hope this will help parents encourage and support their child to complete and submit all work on time. Parents are asked to contact their son or daughter’s teachers should they have any questions about the information shared through BrightSpace by D2L or other communication means. To view assignment submissions and assessment information, please check the Grades and Attendance module of PowerSchool. If you need assistance please contact one of your child's teachers or the main office. 

MidSun teachers will use a variety of formative assessment measures throughout the year to guide both students and their next steps for instruction. Information will be made available to parents through your MyCBE / PowerSchool  on a consistent and regular basis. Parents should contact the appropriate teacher if they have questions. Report Cards

Report card information will be available in electronic format at the end of January and June.
