Dear Monterey Park School Families,
Online Kindergarten registration for the 2022-23 school year begins tomorrow, Monday, January 17. Online registration will begin in the morning using SchoolEngage, CBE's new online form platform. The benefit of this system is that you immediately register for a MyCBE Account which allows you access to all CBE information and documents including the ability to access your child's assessments, register for conferences, receive information updates, and pay fees.
Registration for schools is not determined on a first come, first serve basis, so there is no need to rush to immediately complete your registration. Please be sure to carefully review the information for what you need to register, how to register, and how to submit registrations. You can find all registration information on the CBE main webpage www.cbe.ab.ca or on our school website at https://school.cbe.ab.ca/school/MontereyPark/Pages/default.aspx.
All families currently residing in Skyview Ranch should register at Annie Foote and will be designated to the new Skyview Ranch school opening in September 2022. Families residing outside of Monterey Park should register at their designated community school and may choose Monterey Park as a second choice. Space and resources will determine acceptance of out of boundary students.
Due to declining enrolment and changes to our population, Monterey Park School will move to a half day Kindergarten Program, Monday to Thursday, and alternating Fridays. Transportation of students will be provided one way. Students enrolled in a morning class will receive transportation to school only and students enrolled in an afternoon class, will receive transportation home from school only. Please state your preference for a morning or afternoon class when you register.
