June Update

Wow, it seems like just yesterday, the pandemic was declared and we were heading into Spring Break.  It is hard to believe that summer holidays are around the corner.  To that end, there are a few things that I would like to mention.

June 26th will be the last day of ongoing learning.  Report cards will be available at noon on the 26th through PowerSchool.  The morning of June 29th is for appeals.
It has been an interesting blend of busyness and calm with ongoing learning and preparing for next year.  I have been so impressed with the positive way staff, students and parents adapted to the change and continued on.  Reflecting on the year and the adaptations that have been made due to COVID, I appreciate:
-         Staff for pivoting with only a moments notice to continue to connect with students and their families and find a whole new way to provide ongoing learning
-         Students who continued to be engaged in the learning and online school activities
-         Parents and guardians who supported both their student(s) and the staff so that we could have ongoing learning and enrichment activities
Looking towards next year, I would like to send my best wishes to the grade 9s as they prepare to go to high school and any students who will be leaving Nose Creek School.
I would also like to welcome new students joining the Kodiak family next year including new grade 5-9 students from Harvest Hills.
If I do not have the opportunity to connect with you before the summer holidays, have an excellent summer!
Be safe,
Mrs. Shellenberg, Principal
