Dear OSG Families, 

Welcome to March! We have a busy month ending with Spring Break starting on March 27. Please take special note of our upcoming events! 

Student Learning Conferences 
We are having Student Learning Conferences the following dates this week: 
 Kindergarten 
March 9, 2023 at 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM - NO SCHOOL FOR KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS on this day 

March 10, 2023 at 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM - NO SCHOOL FOR ALL STUDENTS on this day 

Grades 1-6 
March 9, 2023 at 4:30 PM - 8:00 PM - this is a regular school day for students in grades 1-6 

March 10, 2023 at 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM - NO SCHOOL FOR ALL STUDENTS on this day 

Conference booking times are for 15 minutes per student. 

The conference booking system is now open. Log into your MyCBE Powerschool account to book a conference time. If you need support, please call the main office at 403-777-6950. 

Learn and Share | School Planning 
We know we make better decisions to support student learning when we build understanding and work together. That’s why we are asking you to share your perspectives about our school development plan, school budget and school fees. 

Watch this short video to learn about the planning work schools do to improve and support student learning.
* The survey is open from February 27, 2023 to March 13, 2023.

Storytelling Residency with Cheryle Chagnon-Greyeyes 
The week of March 13-17, Cheryle will join classes throughout the week to focus on medicine wheel teachings that incorporate storytelling, singing and drumming. Cheryle is a Cree-Metis woman who, through her storytelling experiences, will help us to move forward in a good way with our Truth and Reconciliation commitment, “How do stories connect to spirit, heart, body and mind?”

March 9 – No school for kindergarten only, regular school day for grades 1-6 

March 10 – No school for ALL students 

March 17 – AM kindergarten attends 

March 20 – School Council Meeting 6:00 PM 

March 24 – PM kindergarten attends 

March 27-April 10 Spring Break
