Dear OSG Families,
Thank you for all of your support to help make our 2023-2024 school start up a success! Throughout the building last week, we saw students and staff engaged in learning and excited about their new classes.
School will resume tomorrow, Tuesday, September 5, following the long Labour Day holiday weekend. We continue to ask that if your child will NOT be returning to OSG this year to please respond to this email or call the office at 403-777-6950 ext. 0 as soon as possible if you have not already done so.

Traffic
We now have 2 big school busses to transport our students coming from Cornerstone in addition to the smaller busses to accommodate students in our specialized setting classes. This means that it is very important that cars are not parked in the bus zones at the front of the school at arrival and dismissal times.
It is also very important that you and your child are using the crosswalks, primarily the patrolled crosswalk and following all traffic rules, including NO U-TURNS. Open House
On Thursday, September 21, we will be welcoming families to school during an Open House from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM. You will soon receive an email with information about how to book a time to visit your child(ren)’s classroom and meet their teachers and administrators.
School Council and Parent Association Meetings September 18 at 6:00 PM
As our enrolment continues to grow, we are inviting all parents and guardians to join us for School Council and Parent Association meetings to help us improve our school and make purchases to support student achievement and well-being.
The first meeting is on Monday, September 18 at 6:00 PM in the school Learning Commons. More information will be sent out in the coming days.
