Traffic Safety

Ensuring our students get to school safely is everyone’s responsibility. Please be mindful of crosswalks, parking rules and speed limits when you are near our schools, especially during the morning drop-off and afternoon dismissal times.

Parking & Drop-Off

Driving & Parking

The parking lot is reserved for school staff and CBE employees. Students are not allowed in the parking lot and this area is not a drop off area. Parents are also reminded that they are not to park close to the crosswalk (must be 5m from crosswalk) or double park in front of the school.

The safety of our students is a shared responsibility. We will work with the children to help them be aware of safety rules
and we are asking you to do the same. Please model safety over convenience. U-turns are a danger to our children.

  • Teach your children to cross with the patrols
  • Instruct your child to get out of the car on the side that is closest to the sidewalk
  • Do not make U-turns (this is illegal and unsafe)
  • Do not stop or park in the bus zone

School Patrols

A dedicated group of students freely offer their time to both make our school a safer place and to demonstrate leadership and responsibility to our student body.

Our patrols are on duty at the following times:

  • 08:15 – 08:25 AM
  • 03:20 – 03:30 PM
