Our Spirit Days, in December, were a huge success. Thanks to all those who participated. We will be announcing more Spirit Days for the upcoming months.  Stay tuned!

We want to remind families of the importance of consistent attendance. As a school, we are required to monitor attendance and work with families when increased absences become a concern. We understand children get sick and appointments crop up, but we want to work with all our families to ensure students are here consistently and we are supporting student success. Attached to this email are some tips for families. If you have any questions about attendance, please reach out to your child’s teacher or administration to discuss.

There are still some families who have not submitted updated demographics forms for 2022-2023. Please contact the office to obtain and complete. The office must be notified of any updated contact information (phone numbers, address, court documents) so that our records are up to date, and we can best support our families.

For pick-up and drop-off, a reminder to wait for your children at their designated spot, either at the south end of the building near the parking lot or the gate near the front door. If there is a change to pick-up, please phone the office before 3pm to notify usAnother concern at pick-up is parking and traffic. Safety is extremely important, and we have significant concerns when there is a crowd at entrance and dismissal. Pedestrians, please utilize crosswalks, look both ways before crossing and do not stop in the middle of the road. Motorists, please park in designated areas, avoid parking at corners, avoid blocking crosswalks. Please stop in a safe location for loading and unloading children. Thank you for keeping our children

and community safe! We all have a role to play.

Kindergarten registration has started for the 2023-2024 school year. If you have children beginning Kindergarten in the fall, we encourage you to complete registration in the coming weeks. This process is now done online through School Engage. Please follow this link for details. The office can provide support with questions or directions

CBE communicated the 2023-2024 school calendar last month. To view this calendar, please go to the following link. Please note, there will not be a modified calendar, rather schools will all be on the traditional calendar.

If you have questions, please do not hesitate to get in contact with the school.

All the best,

Mary-Elizabeth Kaiser

Principal
