Room 11's 'Kindness' Art Installation

Room 11 unveiled their giant art installation today as part of Pink Shirt Day. Using the theme of ‘kindness’, the grade 5’s in Room 11 designed and painted two large murals. The murals were then cut into strips and installed on each step of the two staircases on the school’s main floor. When viewed from the foot of the stairs, the image on each step forms part of a larger image.

The grade 5’s were buzzing with excitement to finally see the results of their efforts. For 4 weeks they sketched, designed, debated, and finally agreed on a final design before they began painting their murals. It wasn’t always an easy collaboration, but I’m sure you will agree: they did a fantastic job!
