Principal Message
If you have not done so already, a gentle reminder to take a few minutes to complete or update your child's demographic forms. It is essential that school has the most up to date information on our students as it supports learning and allows for efficient communication during an emergency.
As we stated in last week's Trailblazer, we are looking forward to our Meet the Teacher Open House tomorrow on Thursday, September 21 from 4:30 to 6:30pm. Students are encouraged and welcomed to attend as school council will be serving treats. The purpose of Meet the Teacher is to see your child's classroom, hear about the programing and expectations as well as ask general questions you may have.
EES will be reaching out to parents and booking individual appointments.
Grade 1-6 & Mr. Knuttila's Kindergarten class will follow the open house format. Teachers will be doing a presentation at 4:30, 5:00, 5:30, and 6:00pm (every half hour). To hear the full presentation, it is important that you arrive at the presentation start times. Presentations will be approximately 20 mins with 5 to 10 mins for general questions. There is no registration required for these presentations. Just attend at one of the times that is convenient for you. If you have more than one child, plan your schedule accordingly.
Due to Ms. Fieldstone teaching both AM and PM Kindergarten, she will be following the schedule below:
· 4:30pm AM Kindergarten Session
· 5:00pm PM Kindergarten Session
· 5:30pm AM Kindergarten Session
· 6:00pm PM Kindergarten Session
A reminder, if you require a one-on-one meeting with the teacher to share specific information about your child, you will be able to book an appointment on Friday September 22 between 8:00am to 1:00pm. As teachers are just getting to know each of their students, they will not be able to share specifics around academics. If this time does not work for you, please connect with your child's teacher and they can make alternative arrangements.
School Supplies
All student supplies are provided by the school. There is a $40 instructional fee ($20 for kindergarten) that can be paid in power school. Students will need to bring an appropriately sized backpack, indoor running shoes, healthy snack and water bottle ( if they choose) and their lunch (if participating in our lunch program).

Spring 2023 Casino Profits
This spring we were fortunate to work our second casino event. The monies have been counted and we are elated to announce that we raised $77,527 for our school. This money is prorated over two years and allows us to provide field trips, residency programs like Rebecca Dawn, Art and Lacrosse. We are able to purchase technology and learning materials to enhance the learning experience of all students of our school. A giant thanks you to the group of 34 parents who helped make the two-day event a success! Without you this would not be possible.
