Royal Oak June 28 Year End Message

What a year this has been!  We wanted to express our sincerest thanks to all of the parents and caregivers for your tremendous efforts during a year that seemed to disrupt everything we know and hold dear.  I believe that your efforts, along with the efforts of the staff and students at Royal Oak, have helped to minimize our exposure to Covid at our school.  We are so proud of your children for showing resiliency throughout this year and we hope they have the chance to have a “near normal" summer where they can play with their friends and see loved ones.

I hope that the unseen benefit, in all that is Covid related over these past 15 months, is that we will all have had the time to reflect on the little things that matter most in life.  It is our hope that each of you has the opportunity over the summer to spend time with loved ones who you have not had the chance to see in a long time.  I would imagine that there are people you have not hugged in a long time and are eagerly awaiting the chance to embrace them again.

Please keep checking the school's website for any additional information regarding our start up on September 1st, 2021. We will be taking our direction from Alberta Education, Alberta Health Services and the Calgary Board of Education regarding what school start up will look like regarding Covid protocols and safety measures.

All our best to the grade 3 students moving on Pratt and other school and to those families moving away from our designated communities. We look forward to having all 392 ish students starting school on September 1st, 2021.

We hope everyone has a wonderful and safe summer.

Your Staff at Royal Oak School
