What is the Royal Oak Fundraising Society?
The Fundraising Society is a formal group of parents, incorporated under the Societies Act that has a separate legal entity from the School Council. It engages in activities like Casinos that raise funds to support students at the school.
Royal Oak School is able to provide a high level of activities and educational tools to students based on money raised through fundraising. The Society initiates a number of different fundraisers throughout the school year. These can vary from year to year based on past experience and success of previous fundraisers.
Meeting Dates/Schedule
The Society generally meets on the second Monday of every month in the school teacher’s lounge at 7:00 PM (after the School Council Meeting). Reminders are sent out in the monthly school newsletter. A schedule is posted here and dates are included in the school Calendar. The meetings operate in a manner that is non-judgmental. We strive for open discussion and collaboration.
