Traffic Safety

Ensuring our students get to school safely is everyone’s responsibility. Please be mindful of crosswalks, parking rules and speed limits when you are near our schools, especially during the morning drop-off and afternoon dismissal times.

Parking & Drop-Off

Student Safety - No Stopping Zone

A reminder to drivers that the signs posted in the school area need to be obeyed for the safety of our students. There is a “no stopping” zone in front of our school. This means that you cannot even stop to drop off your child. Please watch for the signs. Parking control officials will be monitoring the school occasionally. Tickets have and will be issued to those who do not abide by the rules.

Jaywalking is not permitted in front of the school. This includes cutting between the parked buses. Please use the crosswalks, and patrollers if they are on duty. Children learn from what they see parents do.

The parking lot is for staff only. Please do not enter the parking lot to drop off or pick up your child. Please arrange another pick up spot for meeting your child.

School Patrols

Rundle Patrols work very hard to keep our students safe. Please encourage your children to cross with patrols. We also ask that parents drop off students away from the crosswalks. Please remember if the patrols are on duty, all pedestrians are expected to cross with patrols. Times that patrols are on duty:

  • 7:45 to 8:00 AM
  • 2:40 to 2:55 PM

We appreciate having students arrive 10 minutes in advance of their assigned shifts.
