Happy Holidays

Dear Scenic Acres School Families!

-It was great to see so many of you at the Winter Concerts. We were so proud of the students and their performances. We did receive some messages from some grantparents in Edmonton & Medicine Hat watching the concerts from their home!. Some of you asked for the 12 Days of Scenic lyrics. Click on this link: 12 DAYS OF SCENIC.docx

-There is NO school, Friday, December 23rd

-We are receiving emergency funding from the province and we are excited to announce that Ms. Bailey will be teaching the kindergarten students in the mornings and working with Ms. Lockerbie's class in the afternoon. Ms. Lockerbie will be working with the students identified as requiring extra support for the next three months (in the afternoons only). Mr. Cooper is also going to be around on Fridays and supporting the teachers in class, so that they can focus on their students who require extra support. We hope these intiatives will help to catch up some of our students who are behind in literacy and numeracy.

-We said goodbye to Ms. Barrowcliff today in an assembly and Mr. Garner & Ms. Lockerbie interviewed some new Library Assistant candidates yesterday and hopefully will have someone in place asap.

-The Scenic Acres teachers & staff just wanted to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday! We are truly blessed/lucky to we working with such amazing students and families. Happy Holidays and we will we see everyone back at school on January 9th, 2023!

Mr. Garner, Principal
