There are many ways you can contribute to our school’s success, and make a difference for our school and our students. In our school, this can include providing in-kind donations, contributing cash and lending expertise and technical knowledge. Connect with our principal on what may be appropriate. For more information on ways to give to CBE, visit Donate on the CBE website.

Welcome Back Scenic Acres School Families. Hope everyone had a fantastic summer break!

Our fundraising team has launched their first fundraiser of the year in partnership with Farm to School Alberta and will be offering the following bundles of locally grown vegetables, to be delivered just in time for your Thanksgiving meal:

Bundle A: 2lb carrots, 2lb onions, 5lb potatoes and 1 recipe booklet $15

Bundle B: 3lb carrots, 3lb onions, 10lb potatoes, 1lb parsnips, 1 cabbage and 1 recipe booklet $25

Ordering and payment will be done online at https://www.farmtoschool.ca/  Simply click on “shop” and add your products to your cart.  When you are ready to complete your order, select the Province, “Scenic Acres School” as the school you are supporting and enter the child’s name that is connected to your order.  Lastly, select “Support School” to ensure that your order is delivered to our fundraising team for pick up.

Farm to School Alberta has partnered with Food Banks Alberta to provide participants an opportunity to donate bundles of vegetables to The Calgary Food Bank.  The School will still receive a 50% of the purchase price regardless if the vegetables are purchased to keep or for donation!  Any vegetable bundles purchased for donation will be delivered for free by Peak of the Market directly to The Calgary Food Bank.

The deadline to order is September 19th, 2022, with orders ready for pick up on October 1st, 2022.  All orders are to be picked up at 167 Scenic Park Crescent between the hours of 9am and 3pm.

SAVE THE DATE! BOTTLE DRIVE:  We are running a bottle drive simultaneously with pick up of the Farm to School orders on October 1st!  Please bring your empty bottles with you for donation when you pick up your Farm to School orders. Even if you are not participating in the Farm to School fundraiser, please consider bringing your empties for donation to the school. This bottle drive is being offered in partnership with Skip the Depot.
