Spirit Week

This week we celebrated Spirit Week to welcome all students to Senator Patrick Burns School. As staff we know of the importance of making connections to our SPB students and to give them time to connect to each other. Students all over the school were wearing SPB gear or the colour of their house team. The Pep Rally on Tuesday was another opportunity for students to enjoy their year groups and get to know new students. The students challenged my amazing AP Sra. Martinez and myself to a Tacco Challenge which I lost …. twice. Congratulations to Sra. Martinez for slapping my face and making me laugh that I spilled the water I was supposed to keep in my mouth. The students certainly enjoyed the moment – I myself not so much. Having food trucks outside our school is always a highlight for students and I was able to cool of with a lemonade myself.

Moving forward I would like to invite you to consider getting involved with our Parent Association. I would like to have more of you to work with me and my colleagues to make SPB the school you want it to be and to create more connections with the local community.

Sr. Ludwigsen
