The Week Ahead

Dear Parents/Guardians

This week we were proud to host our annual “Meet the Teacher Night” in person after two years of virtual events. It was a pleasure to meet so many parents and guardians who wanted to meet their child’s teachers and see the inside of the school (again). The slides from my presentation have been uploaded and can be accessed on our webpage.

Our students are excited about two new vending machines that allow them to buy CBE approved snacks and drinks during lunch and recess, as well as before and after school. The student council will decide how to best invest any profits of the sales in our school.

We are currently in the process of updating our old boiler and installing new brighter energy efficient LED lights in our school. This is an ongoing process that happens after school and during weekends. This will not interrupt any of our learning.

Furthermore, we are in the process of updating our website so it will become the place for you to find up-to-date information about out school.

Finally, the Parent Association had their AGM and voted for a new board. Thank you to our outgoing chair, Lisa Schaffer, and the incredible work she has done for our school. So many areas of our school have been updated and improved during her leadership and we are grateful for all her work.

Have a lovely weekend.

RT @WesternRedhawks: This past year, a committee of students has been hard at work gathering student voice and consulting with Elders and Knowledge Keepers in the planning of a garden in the courtyard area off of the main foyer. #wearecbe https://t.co/r5VyCRdCX9 https://t.co/CuBU8EuVan

LAST CHANCE to register for yellow school bus transportation. If you do not register by the June 11 deadline you will not be included in route planning for the fall and may be responsible for transportation for the first six weeks of school. https://t.co/EV8CAc6U9H #WeAreCBE https://t.co/wi3SDZ4VaI
