Vertigo Theatre

On Wednesday, December 5th, grade 8 students traded jeans and yoga pants for long sleeve shirts and dresses to attend the play, Dracula: The Bloody Truth, at Vertigo Theatre. It was two hours of hilarity and fast-paced fun, with an emphasis on over acting and physical comedy. The four actors played over forty different characters while using costume, accents, and various mannerisms to distinguish between their various roles. The use of intentional slip-ups and puns within the play added to the comedic effect. This live theatre experience helped students to understand how various elements of drama such as props, costume, sound effects, timing, and audience interaction come together to create an enjoyable dramatic performance.
