Safety and Care for our SVS Students and Families

Dear Parents/Guardians,

I am reaching out to you for support in ensuring the safety of all students attending SVS.

I would ask that as parents, we model appropriate social distancing during drop off and pickup of students.  If your student is in close proximity to other children, please ensure the recommended spacing even though we are in an outdoor environment.  If you choose to join student lines to say farewell and reassure your child please use a mask If other students are in close proximity.

Children are attracted to dogs by nature and a crowd will gather quickly to pet or say hello to our furry friends.   Just a gentle reminder, that dogs are not permitted on school grounds and signage is evident around the property to remind the public.  If you do include the family dog during drop off and pickup times please ensure you remain on the public sidewalk and prearrange a meeting spot with your children.

Finally, with redeployment of staff at dismissal we are no longer able to be physically present in the parking lot to monitor vehicles and student pickup and drop off.  The parking lot is not for parent parking for pickup or drop-off as it is unsafe for pedestrian traffic during peak times.  Please walk around the lot using the sidewalk to enter and exit with students before and after school.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation and support.

Christopher Snow
