ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL'S FAREWELL MESSAGE
Dear Sir Wilfrid Laurier Staff, Parents, and Students,
It is with mixed emotion that I announce my last day at Sir Wilfrid Laurier School as March 3. SWL has provided me an incredible opportunity to serve as your school assistant principal. I will be moving to McKenzie Highlands School commencing March 6.
I have truly enjoyed my time at Laurier working with such a remarkable group of staff, students, and parents. It has been a joy to watch the students grow into such wonderful young people over the years. I have loved supporting them on their learning journey and celebrating their many successes. SWL teachers and Principal Ms. Petroni, thank you for your tireless dedication to students and for your care and continuous pursuit of teaching excellence. Working alongside of you has been deeply rewarding.

ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL ANNOUNCEMENT
Dear Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Parents/Guardians,
I am pleased to announce that Rae Love will be in the role of Acting Assistant Principal until June 2023. Ms. Love is currently a Learning Leader at SWL, has a strong understanding and passion for the learning goals of SWL and has established positive relationships with the staff, students and families of SWL. Ms. Love is skilled at creating inclusive learning environments in which diversity is embraced, a sense of belonging is emphasized and all students and staff are welcomed, cared for, respected and safe. I would like to thank Tiffany Jernigan for her leadership over the past four years and for her incredible and invaluable support in my first year here as principal. She will be greatly missed by the community.

MESSAGE FROM MS. LOVE
Dear Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Parents/Guardians,
It is with excitement that I take on the role of assistant principal for the remainder of the school year! I joined the CBE in September 2013. Since then, I have taught grades 5-9 at Glendale Elementary and Sir Wilfrid Laurier School. Though I am partial to humanities, my experience includes teaching math, science, French, outdoor education, art, physical education, and health. Over the past several years, I have worked as a learning leader at SWL while completing my Master of Education. I look forward to this new opportunity.
