New Principal Introduction

Dear Somerset School Community,

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter to you as the incoming principal of Somerset School.  My name is Nathan Bane and I am truly honored to have been selected to join the Somerset School team.

Over the last 15 years, my work as a teacher, learning leader, and administrator has allowed me to develop a diverse background of extensive experiences moving learning forward in the areas of: literacy, numeracy, social emotional health, instrumental music, construction, career technology foundations, physical education, and science.  These experiences span Kindergarten to grade 12 and include a variety of unique program settings.  In my current K-5 setting, Keeler school, I developed a deep passion for early literacy and have been successful in ensuring all learners are provided equitable access to the supports and opportunities they require to reach their potential.

I have heard incredible things about the students, staff, and families at Somerset school and look forward to working alongside each of you to continue to collectively build Somerset school to be a place where students are empowered to solve problems and think critically as they become active and informed citizens who live healthy lives with meaning.

If I do not have the opportunity to meet you prior to the end of the 2020-2021 school year, please enjoy your summer and know I look forward to meeting each one of you when school begins in September 2021.

Sincerely,

Nathan Bane
