Principal's Message May and June 2021

Dear Parents/Guardians,

The month of May and June will be very busy months at  Taradale School.  Our students continue their regular learning and while the days are getting longer, and warmer, we continue to focus on student progress as we begin to see the end of this year ahead.

As we begin to prepare for our upcoming year, we are creating our organization for learning based on enrolment.  The initial school projections that we received from Community Engagement and Operational Planning are as follows:

KG - 140 students

Grade 1/2 - 280 students

Grade 3/4 - 270 students

Projection of 690 students

Our total projection for the 2021-2022 school year is 690 students.

We continue to frame our work and celebrate our students, with the Calgary Board of Education RESULTS in mind.

The RESULTS are the Board of Trustees' vision for CBE students:

                            *Academic Success
                            *Citizenship
                            *Mega End—High School Completion
                            *Personal Development
                            *Character

School Organization

We come to  Learning is our central purpose.  All decisions made at the school, including organization are based on overall
student learning. In June we will be working on the class lists for next year.

Student Led Conferences

Wow! Wow! Wow!
Over 90%

Thank you so much for participating in our Student Led
Conferences before Spring Break.

Our students were energized, proud and articulate as they shared their learning process, strategies, tasks, assessment and products through IRIS.

Thank you for ENGAGING with  your children's learning.

We had outstanding participation as our students celebrated their learning with their families.

Online Booking for Student Led Conferences

Wow, Wow, Wow, again!
Thank you Taradale Parents…
We had an outstanding number of conferences successfully booked online, for our “TEAMS" Conferences.
If you do not yet have a “MyCBE/Parent Account", please call the office at 403-777-6270 to help you create a profile. Our goal is to have 100% of our parents connected online.

Thank you for your support as we transition to ONLINE
Learning at home. We are very grateful for our parents' and students' willingness to engage and learn, during a very
unsettling time.

From everyone at Taradale School, we wish  your families
healthy and safe days ahead.

Sincerely,
Jacki McLaren
Principal
