Happy New Year and a New Decade!

We continue our work to address the goals on our School Development Plan. To read the School Development Plan, visit the Our School page.

We will be sending our first report card home with students this month. Teachers shared with you during the September and December conferences the changes you will see on the report cards this year. We had 88% of our families attend the Parent/Teacher/Student Conferences in December.

Teachers shared student work samples that highlighted areas of strength and areas for growth. We hope the conversations during the December conferences and the student work with assessments teachers are sending home regularly keep you well informed of your child’s progress and the next steps in their learning.

We said farewell to Mr. Giffen, as he is starting as principal of his own school this month. We welcome Liberty Baguio as our new Facility Operator. She begins at our school on Monday, January 20.

Student Voice met late in December and chose Empathy as this month’s virtue and Fancy Day as the Spirit Day. Fancy day is a day to wear some fancy clothes and/or accessories and practice your fanciest manners.

We remind students, not to ask their family to buy new clothes; instead be creative and find something in your house to wear on Fancy Day.

Please check our school calendar to see the dates for spirit days, and fun lunch or other school events.
