Dressing for the Weather

“There's no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing.” Is a relevant quote from Alfred Wainwright. We want to remind families that students in Grades 1-6 and their teachers are going outside each day at least 3 times. We go outside for recess, PE and at least one lesson outside. Our Kindergarten students go outdoors for learning at least once every day. When the temperature (including the wind chill) is -20 degrees or colder we do NOT go outdoors. We also consider staying indoors in heavy rain and of course lightening will bring us inside. Otherwise, please dress for the weather and together we will stay safe and join the ranks of hearty Canadians who don’t let cold temperatures stop us from enjoying our pursuit of a healthy life style!

Thank you all for remembering everyday to complete the self-assessment checklist with your children before sending them to school. Also, thank you for remembering to send a mask for your child to wear at school.
