Weekly Update for June 11-15, 2018

A few notes and reminders for this week:

  • Year-end exams can only be written on the day that they are designated for.  We cannot accommodate the many requests to write exams early or late due to family holidays or appointments. Thank you for your understanding as these dates have been published and emailed home for the past  three weeks and posted on  the school’s D2L calendar since the beginning of the school year.
  • Grade 9 parents will be receiving a special email on Monday June 11th with all the details of the Grade 9 Farewell and ticket distribution.
  • Reminder that there is a lunch dismissal for the entire student body on Thursday, June 14, 2018. (11:52 a.m.)
  • Some Tom Baines Students are organizing a bottle drive starting Monday June 11th until noon June 14th. The money raised will be donated to the “World Partnership Walk” on June 17th at Princess Island Park. This event is sponsored by the Aga Khan Foundation – Canada to help eliminate world poverty. You can drop off your bottles out front of the school (next to the garbage bins) any time after 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM each day except Thursday until 12:00 Noon. Any cash donations can be dropped off at the school office. Let’s support these students to eliminate world poverty.
