TMC (and Tuscany and Eric Harvie Schools!) Terry Fox Run – WOWSERS!
Thanks to everyone who supported our students and staff in our Terry Fox Run this year! I am so proud of our students for the tenacity, grit and determination they showed in keeping Terry's Dream and Legacy alive! Special thanks goes out to all three CBE Schools in Tuscany for coming together in unity for our Terry Fox Day.
Our TMC School goal was to raise $3000. When we totaled up all of our online and cash/cheque donations, it brought just the TMC amount to a grand donation total of $4852.94!
Our TMC Community rocks harder than Metallica's first 4 albums!!! 
 
Orange Shirt Day at TMC (Thursday September 28, 2023)
This year, TMC School will be acknowledging Orange Shirt Day on Thursday September 28, 2023. Our Leadership classes are taking the charge on this and they have set up some specific learning and our classes will be making Orange Shirt Posters on Thursday.
Remember to wear your Orange Shirt this Thursday! Since our school colours are orange and black, that should not be too hard! By wearing an orange shirt on September 30th, you make a statement to support reconciliation and commit to the enduring truth that EVERY CHILD MATTERS. The date was chosen because it is the time of year in which children were taken from their homes to residential schools, and because it is an opportunity to set the stage for anti-racism and anti-bullying policies for the coming school year. It is an opportunity for First Nations, local governments, schools and communities to come together in the spirit of reconciliation and hope for generations of children to come.
Reminder – National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
TMC School will be closed on Friday September 29, 2023 for National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
 
Accepting Tuscany Youth Council (TYC) Leadership Team Member Submissions!!!
The leadership team is a TYC subgroup that is open to current TYC members in grade 10-12 who are interested in participating in resume-building activities as well as learning life skills such as interview prep and job preparedness.If you know someone in grade 10-12 who may be interested in joining the leadership team please have them fill out this online application form: https://forms.gle/J5MHEt1eUN3JGHF2A

·       Titan Lunch Days: October 19, November 23, December 14, January 25, February 22, March 21, April 25, May 23, June 20
·       How to order Titan Lunch and Treats: You can place your order for Titan Lunches and Treat days through the Healthy Hunger website.www.healthyhunger.ca If you already have an account, you can use the same login and just re-add your child/children and their classroom. If you do not have an account you will need to create one. If you have a balance on your account from last year, it will be waiting for you when you log in. Please contact Healthy Hunger if you need assistance creating an account.
·       * Please note: when placing orders, we cannot accept orders after the order deadline date * The deadline is always at 11:59 pm the Friday before Titan lunch or snack.
·       If your student is away If your student is sick on the day of the fun lunch/snack you can pick it up that day if you like. Unfortunately, with approx. 800 students in the school, if your student is away and you have not called to pick the items up that day, the office staff is not able to manage the items for future pick up.
