Lunchtime

Students are asked to bring lunches that do not require heating at school. We are environmentally conscious and recommend reusable containers for lunches so that there is little to no waste of packaging. We compost scrap food.  We also have recycling containers for refundable beverage bottles and tetra paks. Funds from our recycling program goes towards the Parent Association’s Fueling Learning Program which provides bowls of fresh fruit and vegetables for each classroom on a weekly basis. For questions about noon supervision please contact the school office at 403-777-6240.

Playground Supervision

There is supervision each morning from 7:45-8:00 AM, at recess from 10:30-10:45 AM and during the lunch break.  Grades 1-2 play outside for the first half of the lunch break and then go inside to eat. Grades 3-6 eat for the first part of the lunch break and then go outside to play. During the lunch break the lunchroom personnel supervise students on the playground and while they are eating indoors. For more information about playground supervision,  please see our Security page
