Ways to Get Connected

Open, two-way communication between home and school is central to our success. We will work hard to keep you informed in a variety of ways. News and other information is provided to parents/guardians in an ongoing manner through the school website, monthly school council meetings, newsletters, emails, applications and other bulletins sent home with students. For Grades 1 and 2 please see Student Agendas below.

We welcome you to contact any member of our staff. However, if you have a question, concern, comment or suggestion that pertains to your child, we ask that you use your child’s homeroom teacher(s) as your first point of contact. Our teaching staff prefers communication through student agendas or email as the best way to contact them. They check their email at the end of the day and will respond to you in a timely manner.

Home School Communication: School Newsletter and Other Notices

The main communication will be weekly emails through SchoolMessenger. Parents and Guardians will receive information about important dates and school activities through this email. Learn more about subscribing to receive messages.

We will post a school newsletter regularly. School newsletters are an important form of communication and contain much information about the school. Print copies will only be available from the office.

Other information may be sent home separately from the newsletter. This information is often, but not always, posted on the school website. Sometimes you will be required, as a Parent/Guardian, to complete forms and send them back to the school.

Student Agendas

Student Agendas are another very important form of communication between the school and the home. Teachers will have children write homework and reminders in the agenda, or may add a personal note or comment for parents/guardians. Parents/guardians are encouraged to use the agenda to write notes to their child or teacher. Please take time in the evening to check your child's agenda and then be sure to return the agenda to school each day.

RT @JES_CBE: The Grade 4’s were inspired by graffiti artist, Jean-Michel Basquiat. We noticed he would have a bold central picture that was in black, and then he used a lot of bright colours to add interest to his work. @artistbasquiat #wearecbe #CBEart https://t.co/q4OyyrETcw
