Wow! Can you believe we are in March already? It seems like we just came back from Winter Break! Our students are working so hard in their classrooms.
COVID Update
As the case numbers continue to grow, we are reminding students about proper mask protocols. This includes making sure the masks are covering both the chin and the nose. Students are required to wear masks in the hallways, bathroom, to and from recess and gym. Please ensure your child has their mask prior to coming to school. Please complete the AHS Self-Assessment Checklist with your child prior to attending each morning.
We are finding that students need to have a spare mask in their backpack. Masks often get wet if the students are outside or if they are wearing them for an extended period of time. Please send a spare mask with students.
We know that washing and sanitizing hands, masking, distancing and staying home when sick are the best protections against COVID and we continue to ensure these measures are in place. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Safety
We are noticing some safety concerns as the weather is improving. Students are reminded to use safe practices when crossing the road, and they are not to be in the teacher's parking lot at any time. We have also noticed that there are cars that are driving very quickly in the alley behind the school. If your child uses this pathway to get to school, please reinforce safe practices with them. We will be sharing this information with our School Resource Officer as well. If you are picking your child up at the end of day, please be mindful of our bus zone. Please feel free to contact the office if you have safety concerns.
High School Scenario Feedback
CBE is looking for feedback around future High School plans. Please take a moment to check out the information on the CBE website for more information about providing your feedback.
