Principal's Message

Welcome Back to School

Hello Parents and Caregivers,
Tomorrow is our first day of school and our staff are excited to get to know all of our new students!  Tomorrow, please send your grade 1-6 students to school with a backpack, indoor pair of shoes, a healthy snack and a lunch if they are staying at school for lunch.  Please ensure that your child's teacher knows if they are to attend the Adventures Day Care program after school or is registered to take the bus after school.  Tomorrow is our first regular day of classes for grades 1-6 students so school will begin at 8:00am and dismiss at 2:40pm.
If it is raining as we welcome our students into school tomorrow morning please know that we will follow our usual cold/rainy day procedures where teachers will welcome students at their entry doors and bring them straight inside the school so no one gets too wet!
Please remember to follow our covid protocols by wearing masks and trying to maintain physical distancing as teachers get to meet our new students.  Teachers will be heading outside at 7:45am to meet students.  They will bring the children into the school at 8:00am. Mrs. Langlois, our Assistant Principal, Mrs. Martin, our French as a Second Language teacher, and myself will all be outside tomorrow to help students find their teachers.  We will also have registration forms and transfer forms outside the main entrance of the school for any new students who may come to school tomorrow.  Kindergarten students will enter the main doors as part of their staggered entry procedures.
We are still following our covid rules of no parents in the school unless required so we ask that if you aren't registering a student, please do not come into the school as the main office will be busy with registrations.  Please feel free to call the school at 403-777-8440 to make an appointment to meet with Mrs. Pinkett in the office if you have any questions that cannot be answered by telephone.  Students will also be bringing home an information package for parents at the end of the day tomorrow.
Again, we are excited to work with your children and we look forward to meeting everyone tomorrow morning.  Let's all hope for no rain!
Take care,
Lisa Bartel
