Section 11.1 of the Alberta Human Rights Act and Schools
Certain units of the Health and Life Skills courses for Grades 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 contain subject matter dealing primarily and explicitly with human sexuality. In compliance with the Alberta Human Rights Act, parents will be provided with a notice of the specific course content and an exemption form for your consideration prior to the delivery of the instruction of these units.
