​Important Dates

We follow the CBE Traditional Calendar. The calendar sets common start and end days, non-instructional days and holidays. For our school’s additional non-instructional days, late entries, early dismissal days and events, see our school calendar page.


The Alberta Government announced on July 21 that schools will be in Scenario 1 as of Sept. 1, 2020.  

The CBE's 2020-21 re-entry plan is subject to change as more information becomes available from the province. We will continue to update schools with more details during the next school year.​​

Back to School Information

First Day of Classes

Our first day of classes is Tuesday, September 1st, 2020 and the school office is open as follows:

  • Thursday, August 27, 2020, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM – telephone inquiries only
  • Friday, August 28, 2020, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM – open for walk-in inquiries & registration
  • Monday, August 30, 2020, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM – open for walk-in inquiries & registration

The first week of classes will be a staggered entry as follows:

Tuesday, Sept. 1st: Students with last name A-G ONLY will attend from 9 am-3:50 pm.

Wednesday, Sept. 2nd: Students with last name H-O ONLY will attend from 9 am-3:50 pm.

Thursday, Sept. 3rd: Students with last name P-Z ONLY will attend from 9 am-3:50 pm

Friday, Sept. 4th: ALL students will attend from 9:10 am. until 1:00 pm.

School Supply Lists  2020-2021

Grade-specific school supply lists will be emailed home to our students during the summer.  In addition, supply lists will also be posted on the school website, and on the front doors of the school.

Grade 7 Student Supplies List 

 As students transition to secondary school so does their leadership in their learning. Students now become responsible for purchasing, bringing, and maintaining all required school supplies throughout the school year.

Please purchase the following supplies for your child:

  • Graph paper ( Quad – 4 to 1 inch)
  • 2 Glue sticks
  • Strip white-out (no liquid)
  • Thin felts
  • Black thin markers
  • 2 whiteboard markers (non–permanent)
  • Pens ( black, blue & colored)

  • Geometry set
  • Calculator (basic 4 functions)

  • Paper Dictionary

Do You Have a MyCBE / PowerSchool Parent Account?

Parents who have not already done so, must create an account in MyCBE / PowerSchool to:

  • Pay fees or apply for a waiver

  • Register for transportation and noon supervision

  • View student progress

To create a new account, go to www.cbe.ab.ca/mycbe and click on Create Parent Account. You will need to have your child(ren)’s CBE Student ID Number and use your email on file at the school.​
