Back to School Information

First Day of Classes 

Our first day of classes is Thursday, September 1, 2022 and the school office is open to parents on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at 9:00 AM.

On Thursday, September 1, 2022 and Friday, September 2, 2022 at 8:20 am teachers will be outside with complete class lists to meet their own students and to help direct children to their designated classes.  New students arriving to register should proceed directly to the school office upon arrival.

The office will be open for information and inquiries starting Tuesday August 30 at 9:00 AM.

Class Lists

Classroom assignments for the 2022-2023 school year will be available in MyCBE account after 1:00 pm on August 31, 2021.

Kindergarten

Monday - Thursday

12:35 pm – 3:23 pm

Friday       

8:35 am - 11:30 am

Grades 1-6

Monday- Thursday

8:30 am – 12:00 pm

12:50 pm – 3:28 pm

Friday    Early Dismissal – Staff Professional Development 

8:30 am -12:00 pm

Registration Information

Please visit our How to Register page for registration details. Please note that the registration process is completed online, but schools can assist with any questions. 

Lunch Supervision

The lunchroom program will continue to run as an independent operator providing Lunch Supervision Services in a CBE School for the 2022-2023 school year.  The user fee for 2022-2023 lunchroom is will be announced in the fall.  Registration forms for the lunchroom program will be sent home with the school fee package the first full week of school.

Please do not pay lunchroom fees online to the CBE. 

School Supplies

Students supplies are provided by the school for children in kindergarten through Grade 6.

Additionally, students will need a pair of indoor shoes to wear inside the school. Shoes for Physical Education should provide good support and have non-marking soles. A water bottle, as well as a backpack to carry school work, snack, and lunch to and from school is also recommended. Should your child require a backpack please talk to Ms. Sharpe or Mr. Littel in the office.

Parents / Legal Guardians / Independent Students who have not already done so, must create a MyCBE account and add their child(ren) to the account to:

  • access your child’s program information (e.g., course assessments, daily attendance record, report card)
  • view your child’s learning using Brightspace by D2L
  • pay fees and request waivers
  • register for transportation and lunch ​supervision
  • book parent-teacher conferences
  • submit online school forms (required for 2023-24 school year)

You will need your email address on file at the school as well as your child’s CBE ID, which can be found on the:

  • SchoolEngage student profile, for families that registered their child using SchoolEngage.

  • CBE Report Card, beside the child's name

Subscribe to School Messages

Most school messages are sent to parents through SchoolMessenger. It’s a mass communication tool that allows schools to easily and securely send email, phone and text messages to parents / guardians, independent students in a particular grade, class, school or area. Messages are sent to the parent contacts on file at your school.​​

To ensure you receive important information from your child’s school and the Calgary Board of Education, subscribe to school messages.​

​​Fees and Waivers

School fees will be charged to families starting in October. Online fee payment is the simplest and most convenient way to pay school fees. Parents can use their online account to pay fees or apply for a waiver at: www.cbe.ab.ca/mycbe.
