Attendance Line: 403-777-6600 ext. 1

It is important that you call the school if your child is absent or arriving late. Please report all absences to the Attendance Line. Learn more on our Attendance page

Illness

If your child is ill, please keep them at home until they are well enough to participate in all school activities. If your child becomes ill during the school day, we will contact you and you will be expected to arrange for your child to be picked up as soon as possible.

Allergies

Please make sure that the office and your child’s teacher are informed of any allergies that may affect your child’s health and safety.

Please DO NOT send peanuts or peanut products to school with your child.

We would like you to be aware that we have a number of students in the school with severe allergies and would greatly appreciate your cooperation in helping us to ensure the wellness of these students. We cannot legally guarantee a nut-free environment so we must remind both parents and students about the possibility of nuts causing severe allergic reactions in some people. We encourage all to be sensitive to this issue. Children are also reminded to eat only what they bring and not to share treats in case of allergies.

Health Concerns

Please inform the school in writing of any special health concerns regarding your child/children. This is most important in case of allergies and when students are unable to participate in physical activities. Where prescription medication is to be administered by school staff, this CBE form must be completed. Forms are also available at the school office.

Medical information is completed at the beginning of each school year. If your child’s medical condition changes during the year, please update their information at the office and with your child’s teacher. If your child has an Epi-pen or an asthma puffer, we need to be informed.

Injury

The safety of all children is extremely important to us! Safety rules and consistent expectations help us to ensure the well-being of students, staff and visitors. All of our staff members have First Aid training. Minor injuries will be dealt with at school and parents will be informed of any incident either by a phone call or a note in your child’s agenda. If a more serious injury occurs, parents will be contacted immediately and appropriate actions will be implemented.
