​​Traffic Safety

Ensuring our students get to school safely is everyone’s responsibility. Please be mindful of crosswalks, parking rules and speed limits when you are near our schools, especially during the morning drop-off and afternoon dismissal times.​ ​​​​

Parking & Drop-Off

We continue to ask for your assistance to promote student safety at Alex Munro School. Signage at the entrance of the school parking lot reminds parents to not use the parking lot as a drop-off/pick-up area. We need to ensure that students do not associate the parking lot as a safe walking corridor at any time.

Review your child’s arrival and departure plan and encourage the use of the patrolled cross walk and independent strategies for crossing the street. Please avoid stopping and parking in front of the school. The lanes are narrow and parked cars make it difficult for busses and larger vehicles to safely pass. Thank you for your cooperation.

Crossing Patrols

Our school patrol monitors the crosswalk located on 78th Ave. at bell time before and after school as well as at the beginning and end of the noon hour. We will continue to promote strategies such as Pause, Point, Proceed to increase student  awareness and public safety.
