Dressed to Learn
Andrew Sibbald School is committed to being a school of character. Dressed to Learn for us means, that we choose clothing that is appropriate for learning in a school setting.
In order to keep the school clean and for safety purposes, when participating in physical activities in the gym, we ask all children keep a pair of shoes at school for indoor use only. We recommend a pair of runners that are flat, comfortable and are firmly attached (laces, velcro, buckles etc.) to the foot.
In light of the above, the following are examples of unacceptable dress at Andrew Sibbald School:
- Clothing with disrespectful, rude or profane slogans or words
- Belly shirts or tops with spaghetti straps
- Visible underwear
- Short shorts
- Slip-ons, flip flops, or platform shoes for physical activities
- Hats worn in indoor classroom settings
